Assistant Professor - Tenure Track
Tenure Track in French and Francophone Studies. Assistant Professor to teach courses in any of the following primary fields: Nineteenth-century, Medieval/Renaissance. Our department is committed to a global francophone perspective. We welcome applications from candidates who can also teach Francophone African Studies. Other interests might include theater production, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, and/or technology in language methodology.
Language acquisition courses represent on average fifty percent of our teaching responsibilities. Responsibilities also include teaching general education courses, student advising and active participation in extra- and co- curricular department activities.
PhD preferred, ABD considered. Native or near native fluency in French and English. Demonstrated potential in scholarship. Commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.
